An AI workspace where the work has a place.

Agent Town is a private experiment in making AI collaboration visible. A pixel-style office gives teammates a role and a place, while conversations, queued work and review keep the outcome understandable.

The Challenge

An AI conversation can produce a lot of activity without making it clear who is responsible for the work, what is waiting or where the result should return.

The challenge was to connect the visual team to the actual workflow: a request, an assigned task, a handoff and a result that a person can review.

The office metaphor makes that state easier to see, while the work queue gives it structure.

The Approach

The workspace brings the stages of collaboration together:

  • Give Wispie a clear outcome.
  • Keep the brief and constraints together.
  • Hand a defined task to a specialist.
  • Show waiting and active work.
  • Bring a deliverable into Review.
  • Approve it or request a revision.

The public demo follows a fictional café launch outline. Its conversations and outcomes are scripted, with no AI providers or private histories connected.

The Interface

The interface uses a pixel office, specialist rooms, desks and a shared meeting table. A dark game-style panel holds Talk, Work, Review, Log and Team views.

Movement and character status give the work a visible counterpart. Buttons provide another way to select teammates, and the demo supports paused animation and reduced motion.

The Building Process

The project developed from agents at desks and direct or group chat toward visible work queues, handoffs, reviewable deliverables and a changes-requested loop.

Building it meant connecting the office metaphor to responsibilities and task state. Review became a concrete place to inspect an outcome before an external action.

Where It Stands

Agent Town remains a private experimental workspace under development and testing. This case study focuses on the interface and workflow, without claiming autonomous production reliability.

The demo uses a fictional brief, sample dialogue and a simulated deliverable. Approval changes only the state shown inside the demo.

No provider keys, private conversations, original orchestration code, financial records or external-action integrations are included in this page.
