Building a local service brand from the ground up.

OBX Ready needed more than a logo and website. The goal was to create a clear, trustworthy local brand that property owners could quickly understand and feel comfortable contacting.

The Challenge

Because OBX Ready was starting from zero, I had to define the positioning before designing the website.

The biggest insight was that customers weren’t simply looking for “cleaning.” They wanted confidence that their property would be ready when they needed it.

That became the foundation for the brand.

The Approach

I developed the brand identity, service structure and website around what a property owner needs to understand quickly:

  • What do you do?
  • Where do you work?
  • What’s included?
  • What does it cost?
  • Who is behind the business?
  • What happens next?

That thinking shaped the messaging, navigation, service pages, pricing, calls to action and overall customer path.

The Brand + Website

The visual identity combines a hand-drawn mermaid, coastal colors and strong typography to give OBX Ready a distinct Outer Banks personality.

The WordPress site carries that identity into a simple, mobile-friendly experience designed to explain the service, establish trust and move visitors toward checking availability.

Beyond the Website

The project also included the local-search foundation, Google Business Profile, SEO, analytics and the OBX Ready Journal.

The goal was to make the website part of a larger system instead of treating it as a standalone design project.

Where It Stands

OBX Ready is a business I own with my wife and is still early-stage.

For that reason, I’m not presenting traffic, leads or revenue figures that don’t exist yet. This case study focuses on the strategy, brand and finished work I can actually show.

As the business gains real customer data, reviews and results, I’ll continue updating the case study.
